Already accomplished number 3, number 4 I’m working on, number 5 I’m sorta doing, gotta work on everything else, but I’m pretty happy with my progress so far this year.

I admire your ability to highlight, categorize, structure, and commit to the goals you’ve laid out before yourself. I’ll hazard a guess that not enough people step out from their life and go “Woah. What’s up? Where do I go, what do I do, and how do I do it?” on a regular basis. It’s easier to NOT sit down and compile a list of goals than it is to take the time and just do it. I don’t think I’ve ever made an official new year’s resolution in my life, but I’ve made goals. I think it’s a good idea to do. It helps get/keep your life in perspective and give it some meaning and direction going forward. I’ve been trying to do this for some time now, but it’s not easy.

Thanks for the comment Mokabacca! Yeah it’s definitely good to sit down every once in a while and write out goals for yourself. Just the act of physically getting things down on paper (or on screen) helps them get done.

I’ve actually ended up getting almost all of these things done, which is sorta crazy! Some stuff I’m still working on, but I’ve at least made progress with everything.

Also one thing I do that helps me achieve goals and get things done is to keep a “To Do” list. I usually just keep them on paper and they’re super basic, but I’m lost without them! I literally can’t get anything done unless I have a to do list at my side.

Here’s an example of one my recent lists: http://adamcap.com/clippings/the-aftermath-of-my-typical-to-do-list/
